Review Essay/Revue Critique: Hospital History in Canada and the United States.

Abstract
Contrasting with developments in the United States is the Canadian situation. As yet, no synthetic study of 'the hospital' has appeared, nor indeed has any sophisticated analysis of a specific institution been written. But there are signs that change is on the horizon.
