Abstract
Book review by Wendy Mitchinson of Cheryl Krasnick Warsh's, 'Moments of Unreason: The Practice of Canadian Psychiatry and the Homewood Retreat, 1883-1923.' Mitchinson suggests that this book is required reading for those interested in the history of the mentally ill in Canada. It introduces the reader to the way in which seemingly anonymous lives can be made to live once again.
